The Island of Ischia became famous most recently as the location
for the film The Talented Mr Ripley. If you're a film buff
you'll love wandering around recognising scenes where Gwyneth
Paltrow or Jude Law starred. But you will also fall in love
with the island. This is the largest of the Neapolitan islands
and the climate, hospitality, landscape and eating options
will please you. It's natural uneven and craggy coastline
is beautiful but hides a deeper truth. Ischia
is volcanic and the "island of the waters" is so
called because of its hot springs and thermal activity. There
are 67 fumaroles, 103 springs and 29 thermal spas that can
help to cure illnesses, tone up your body and spirit or simply
help you relax.
